    try phalanx mod , I have installed this mod on LZ3's minimod pack that includes phalanx mod as optional.
    and to see aı hoplites in a one line is stunning.
    also try on alex AI will encircle you and you will see a very much difference.
    hoplites are better than phalanx in AI formations.
