Relations Report
Patrick Macdougall manages to agree trade rights with the Turks. Our relations with England, France, Poland and the Moors are currently outstanding. The Danes refuse an alliance with us. An explorers guild is established in Antioch. Gille Coimded Mar was recruited to spy on the English.
Religion Report
Pope Gregory dies and Pope Leonardus of Denmark is elected. Pope Leonardus dies and Pope Miccelle of Denmark is elected. A Theologians guild is established in Edinburgh and a Templars Minor Chapter House is established in Inverness. Milan are excommunicated. Priest Kirk of Midlothian denounces a heretic. For this he is promoted into the College of Cardinals.
Construction Report
Aside from the usual economic and happiness buildings in our settlements a fortress was completed in Inverness.
Military Report
The excess units of mercenaries in Acre are disbanded (to match our rules).
David the Honourable lays siege to the rebel-held Damascus. Whilst building siege equipment our spy Aed the Boroundoun manages to open the gates. The battle is hard fought but ends in a Scottish victory. David the Honourable is lucky to survive the battle as he is targeted by the enemy cavalry and has to flee from the settlement. He returns to bolster the troops and see the final victory. The population are put to the sword and 1,944 florins is added to our treasury. The Council Of Nobles also awards us 2,500 florins.
We request a crusade to the rebel-held Antioch and the Pope agrees. David the Honourable joins the crusade and is closely followed by Spain, Venice and Hungary. David the Honourable sieges the settlement and after victory puts the population to the sword and 3,685 florins is added to our treasury. The Pope also awards us 2,095 florins.
The Council of Nobles requests that we reinforce Acre and they reward us 500 florins.
