Thread: Man of the Hour?

    Default Man of the Hour?

What is the best way to get a "Man of the Hour"

I have done it a couple of times with captains but am not sure what the exact trigger is. I would like to do it more often if possible.

Methinks the best way is to get a captain to achieve a heroic victory, and that the worse the odds, the greater the possibility of the trait being bestowed. I also think that it depends on your family tree's capacity, which stems from the number of territories you own. If you only have a couple family members and many territories, I think it might also be more likely; however, I think that if you have reached the balanced ratio between territory and family members, that option won't even appear.

To me, it doesn't seem to be based on how good the battle was or the number or the odds or anything. It seems, you will get a man-of-the-hour if you have more settlements than family members and you have a captain led army win a battle.

Yes that seems to be the case; settlement vs general ratio. Herioc victories due play a factor, but i've spawned back to back MotH offers with average victories when my total family members was low vs settlement #.

Is there a cheat to force this? Because I went for several years with captiains in the field winning battles and a pretty high number of provinces with out generals?

If you aren't gettin 'man of the hour', that means you have enough family members for your settlements. Remember that children count as family members and if you have, family members + children = provinces, then you won't get adoptions, man-of-the-hour, or even new births.

There is no way to force a man-of-the-hour.

Oh, ok, I wasn't considering the children until they were of age
