    Default numerous questions

    Number 1

Who in your oppinion is the most pleasing faction to play, not the best although the best could be the most fun?

    Number 2

Is it faction specific which form the named character' bodyguard takes?

    Number 3

How exactly do traits work, is there a thread on this?

    and number 4

Is there an uncomplicated thread on unit creation, for example I would like to add the best units to a faction, I haven't made up my mind which one yet but like Pharoes Bowmen for Dacia, War Elephants for Germany etc (campaign playable and recruitable?

    oh and one more

In the descr_strat file could I add again Elephants or something straight into a factions army so they are like mercenaries?

I prefer playing as either Parthia or The Seleucids. Both because of the challenge the player faces. I also have a preference for Parthia due to the composition of it's military - I find cavalry based armies peculiarly difficult to manoeuvre and use well.

Not all factions have their own specific bodyguards - the majority of factions share their bodyguard types with those of the same culture. It is possible to individually assign the bodyguard units, however, but that sort of modding is a little beyond me. If you want to find out more though, then feel free to ask your question here.

This thread explains how character traits are acquired in R:TW vanilla.

Personally my absolute favorite is Carthage. They're spread across the Medditeranean, with enemies all around (including the Romans). Plus, they get elephants. Elephants pwn.

My other favorite is the Roman House of Brutii (green guys). One thing I liked from the beginning is that they match the mercs, so it looks like mercenary troops actually belong in my army. Another thing is that I like expanding into Greece, and they're the best Romans for the job. Also, usually by the time the civil war starts, you've got a massive war with Egypt, so you have the largest empires on the map attacking you on different sides.
