Thread: imperator?

  1. #1

    Default imperator?

when a roman general conquers a "country" (in my case some guy in Athens) it gives them the title of counquerer of Grecia or something (cant remember the title) it says hes rightfully the imperator in the description, does that mean i have 2 take him 2 rome and make him emperoro?

The Imperator trait is actually a trait that is completely unrelated to the 'conqueror of...' traits. It is awarded when a general wins a very difficult battle. Unfortuately, the Imperator trait is a bit bugged and doesn't occur when you expect. I only time I ever got it was when I auto_won a general and a unit of Akotonstai against a rebel group of about 12 units.

If you think your general is deserving then just use the give_trait "Firstmiddle Last" Imperator command.

I have tried so much to get this trait( many big battles with Carthage) and have never gotten it so i would like to see it.

give_trait "Biggvsdickvs Bwianvs" Imperator, where Biggvs is his first name, Dickvs is his middle name and Bwianvs is his last name.

You must also specify a level for the trait:

    Code:
    give_trait "Firstmiddle Last" traitName traitLevel
I think the level you want is 1; sorry, don't have access to the code right now.

LOL! Biggvs Dickvs Monty Python forever

But seriously: Hasn't some developer said that the Triumphs, and related to it probably the imperator trait will be totally revised for the new release, because it wasn't very uncommon in republican Rome?

I don't think that's necessary. If you don't specify a number, it will raise the trait to the next effect level defined.

No, you don't need the number, but adding it ensures you get what you want. If you have a opposite trait or something, not adding the number will sometimes just remove the opposite trait.

I don't think just getting Imperator will get you the Truimph, unless the guy hasn't gotten the highest level of 'conqueror'. I believe the traits don't look for a guy who has both 'conqueror' and 'imperator' but rather when the guy is awarded Imperator, if he already has 'conqueror' he is awarded 'truiphator' as well (or the other way around). I once gave a Gallicus guy "Imperator" through cheats and he never got Triumphator traits.

You must be awarded a triumph by the senate. It is an entirely different thing getting the Imperator trait, which is a prerequisite for ultimatily receiving a triumph. If I'm not wrong, the Imperator must have a certain amount of influence and such to be ultimatily granted a triumph, and to have his triumph he must return to Rome. But that probably will change because a dev declared that the triumphs probably will be totally reworked in the next build... I think.

I cant belive this is happening, but after I finally get the console to accept the character name it tells me that the trait is not found in the database. I checked spelling multiple times and also tried several other traits as well.
Nothing worked. Im not sure whats wrong, but any advice?
