How does the game decide where someone Comes of Age?

And can you make it so that if someone comes to age in a certain city, they get a certain trait?

EDIT: Or can we make it so that as long as you control a city, they can get certain traits?

A character comes of age at 16. And yes to both other questions, look in EDCT at the triggers between those and the docudemon files you should be able to figure it out.

I know WHEN a character come of age, but how does the game decide WHERE? Which city? Also, when you get married, how does it decide where that general is? Adoption?

Sorry I read it as when, they usually appear in the city their father is at or a nearby one if the father is in the field. I think it works the same with marriage they appear with or near their father in-law. For adoption since you adopt a captain or a general into the family it's whereever they were on the world map when the adoption took place.
