Factions will agree on diplomatic proposals, factions will keep alliances, and I have a small feeling it affects public order, but maybe not.

they will also sell you their "spare" lands for bargain knockdown prices
seems to get more expensive the worse your reputation gets (although I haven't extensively tested this)

so hard to keep good reputation, its driving me insane. firstly, once you get too powerful even on medium setting, your reputation goes down, even if you are the wronged party. any retaliation against the enemy = negative reputation.
i have once try to give away a region or two to entice the darn HRE into peace with me. admittedly, i DIDexecutemartyr some prisoners, and that those regions are in the path of Turkish hordes.....*whistle innocently* Nothing wrong with taking back the region if you know that they cant hold it from the infidels to help out the christiandom...
for the record my best reputation never progress beyond "very reliable" despite my best effort. perhaps big empires are only suppose to use harsh languages on the aggressive little neighbours?
