The mission are dynamically issued based on your ability to carry them out...

To get assasination missions you need to have assassins out their doing business. If you don't bother with assasins then you will not see the missions.

Yeah, the problem is that, right now, i only have an assassin with 8 in subterfuge, since the other one was killed trying to assassinate milan's faction leader (a waste since i destroyed them already). The chances are like 25% or something. I will see. I hope he increase his skill until he got there but the king has actually good command and all so it gonna be hard...

Regicide missions are the only really difficult missions in the game... Anyway, they are only worth it if you're after the money because palying on Hard setting, I've yet to notice the improvement in the relationships with the asking faction.

Assassins may be put to better use than getting killed trying to eliminate a faction leader (if you can spare the bonus cash...)

Well, i don't really need the money since i took now all Italy (Venice is the exception and it will soon be mine anyway), and together with my very lucrative Peninsula plus all the money that came from Timbuktu the money is not an issue at all, but i thought it would be fun to try it. After all, i don't intend to kill the Pope anytime soon (he is pretty friendly to me, i nfact he is Spanish) so even if my assassin gets kill is not much of problem since i am recruting some new ones right now.

Well, you might still consider the consequences on your Faction Leader's Dread since each assassination attempt might give you some unwanted dread (depending on your style of play...)

Yeah, it would be more worth the effort if it gave a ceasefire as well as the improvment in relations.

Agreed, a maxed out assassin can cut through your opponent's agents and junior faction members like a hot knife through butter...
