Default About the cavalry units of Jerusalem

    Hi, there.

Just started the Crusades Campaign. As the Kingdom of Jerusalem, I notice there are quite a few kinds of heavy cavalry units available to that faction .

I heard someone mentioned about a type of special heavy cavalry unit that the Jerusalem kingdom starts with 2, but if those 2 get wiped out totally, there will be no way to recruit them again. Are there such units? What are they called?

I really don't want to dismiss them by mistake . Thanks!

Thank you both, Bob and Monsieur.

Now I wonder what is so special about them? As they are not cheap or very powerful...

Anyway, can someone tell me how do I replenish their number, please?

They´re rather effective units on huge unit sizes Marshall has 60 cavalry and Constable 120, Double size cavalry unit. That´s what makes Constable of Jerusalem so nice. Marshall is just good extra bodyguard to your general.
They can be retrained in big enough castle, for example Kerak in start is big enough for to retrain them. Don´t know if its certain level castle or certain level stables. If they´re wiped out i think you can´t train them again, but be careful with them, and they´re so powerful you shouldn´t be able to get them all wiped out.

Do they regenerate like bodyguard units? (ie casualties are automatically replaced over time)

I was thinking about the same thing, but as Zarky told us, the answer is no.

I remember i saw these units fully recreated by AI.

I massacred the Holy Sepulcher's and took their castle, but then after few turns, i encountered them while they defending Antioch.. Probably its another extra AI advantage for VH/VH difficulty.
