i had something like this in my campaign as the romans, early on the AS went on a rampage to capture nearly the whole of the east. but then the SR and the Maks attacked at the same time, and it looked as if my fellow allied empire would crumple :( however the AS has had a recent come-back once again takin over the eastern part of the map, except for Asia Minor which is Makadonia's last stronghold

It is 208 bce in my campaign, and I am preparing my legions for the Invasion of Africa, once it is done it will be Hellas next. The Hellenes are my allies, but can do nothing to fight against Macedon. Early in the they raised two full stalks on Rhodes, but when their fleet sailed to bring these troops to Hellas they where sunk by pirates and the Macedonian fleet. Why they didnt raised another fleet may be because they are bankrupt, and recently lost Chalkis and Athens to the Macedons.

As for my northern neighbors, i was allied with the Averni, and the Aedui attacked my city of Masillia circa 240 bce. So we went to war, and a long war it was, from 236 to 226 bce. I captured Mediolanum and Gergovia, the later I gave it to the Averni. In the end after 3 pitched battles the Aedui king accepted Rome's peace terms. But when the Macedons attacked the city of Ambrakia, the Averni broke their alliance with me, so I offered alliance to the Aedui, which very wisely accepted. And I am also allied with the Sweboz.

But the alliance between the plomies, Pahlava and Bactria as already been broken as the Bactrians invaded Pahlava territory. So let see what happens next.

    cheers.

209BC for me, the Seleukids are tenaciously hanging on in Armenia. Their original empire has been completely split between Baktria and Ptolemaioi, it's like some Nazi-Soviet Pact to split Poland minus two thousand years. I never thought this would be the day, but I actually found myself adding money to the Seleukids. Also, just before the Ptolemaioi declared war with me via Lepki, I bought over their entire Mesopotamian holding with Antiocheia and Edessa, and allowed it to rebel to Seleukeia. I'm planning to bribe over the entire Levant and hand it back to the Seleukids, leaving the Ptolemaioi with Susa, Arabia and their African holdings. Oh, and whatever they've got in Asia Minor. Still too early to say, but I daresay Arche Seleukeia is back in the game, big time.

    How dare you.

It's strictly forbidden by the international EB-law to help or even ally with the Arche Seleukeia in any way. You'll go to the International Criminal Court soon.

    Verdict: DAMNATIO AD BESTIAS!!
