Just remember that you guys will be stuck with Childress as long as they keep winning.
Said it once and I'll say it again: Wanna swap, Martok?

Say what you want about Childress, but at least he knows when to run the ing ball! Our best player, Westbrook, is still getting way less touches than he deserves nearly 3 years after he's proven that he can do stuff when he's got the ball.

*sighs* Yeah, I know. Every silver lining has a dark cloud....

To be honest, yes I still would. Childress deserves very little credit for the team's recent success -- it has far more to do with Tavares finally learning how to "manage the game" (to borrow a phrase I've heard so often lately) and the secondary improving their pass defense. I firmly believe that Reid could do more with less.

That's true, and I've wondered about that as well. Maybe Andy doesn't trust your guys' O-line to create running lanes for him? I don't know.

Oh wow... looks like Bobby Petrino just resigned.

Man, I feel sorry for the Falcons. First they lose Vick, then Petrino... I thought he would've lasted at least a year. He did kind of have a free pass for this season, then he'd nab his Louisville QB in the draft and start afresh.

Note to Eagles: When searching for Reid's replacement, don't pick a big-name college coach.

-edit- Oh, and because I have nothing better to do, I'm just wondering why the daisy this story is featured on ESPN.

    Update from Hell:
    My vehicle is now unstuck
5 inches of snow between last night and today so we got a snowday
    My snowblower is working now
Ryan Grant lead the league in rushing yards this week
Jennings and Driver are still the most bad*** recievers in the NFL
Favre could get knocked out of a game with a ruptured heart and still manage to start the next game
Green Bay clinched the NFC north

Ain't Hell lovely this time of year.

Petrino made the right call. It was either this, or get rid of all his veterans, because they stopped listening to him about 6 weeks ago, and rightly so. He didn't consult with any of them on, well, anything, and really didn't even want to hear their opinions. That might work in college where, to some extent, the players are still kids, but in the NFL they're men, and quite a few of them make more money and mean more to the team than Petrino. Players need discipline, but they also need to be part of the process.

College success means zilch in the NFL. At a big college you get to schedule cakewalk teams for 1/3-1/2 your games, you get to play more than half your games at home, and there's no such thing as a salary cap. In the NFL you have to play fair against other good teams every game. Not many of the college guys can adapt to that.
