Especially Mario, that was a revolutionary game.
If i recall correctly, Goldeneye has been remade as a mod for the source engine.

I used to play games a lot more years ago

Haven't got the discs for most anymore, but think you can still play a few

Some of my favourites were (ultimate) Doom, Doom II, Heretic (which on the old computer ran using zdoom which was really good). Blood, Wolfenstein 3D, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Quake, Quake II (think the Quake games should be OK to run even though Quake 1 was DOS).

Red Baron 3D, (apparently can work on XP but is really difficult to do so)
Flying Corps (another WW1 air combat game, played the full version a few times at a friends house, and beforehand had the demo, although more limited than RB3D, it had a different feel, and in some areas was better, really enjoyed dogfighting)

Super Street Fighter II Champion Edition (never owned a console but used to love this game)

Carmageddon & Carmageddon II (I think at least Carmagedoon II could work on Xp, not sure if Carma 1 would), but both loved these games, very different to other games at the time.

Half Life 1, I know it can work on XP, want to get this again, with the expansions, I completed it and it was one of the best games I've played.

(the elder scrolls II) Daggerfall, loved this game, had full version, you're able to run on XP but you need to tweak dosbox I think, I currently have on this pc Morrowind which I also love.

Realms of the Haunting, had the demo on the 1st pc, (never played the full version) but it was awesome and scary, had fmvs (cut scenes with actors) to explain the story too

I'm not sure if Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit & NFS 4 High Stakes would work on XP, but I really enjoyed them

Interstate 76, great game, not sure if can run on Xp

Colin Mcrae Rally (the original), not sure if it can run on XP, also not sure of the difference of the newer games and other rally games, but really enjoyed it. And speaking of rally, I used to also really enjoy Network Q RAC Rally Championship (even though the game was more simple / arcady, i.e the roads weren't too wide, and you would bounce of the sides if you went far out).

Test Drive II: The Duel, really enjoyed this game, it was my favourite for some years in the early 90's (had the apple port version, even though it was released originally in '89), got it from my dad's friend on disk (with other games such as Simants), it also had the California Challenge scenery disk, but I always wanted to also have the European Challenge scenery disk, as well as the Supercars car disk & Musclecars car disk. In fact it was the first game I was wary of at the time that had expansions, as before I thought games were sold as they were and the only addition could be a sequel. I think you can get a port for it? I never played Test Drive 1, I played TD3, but didn't like it, got it later on an old pc laptop, but think there was a problem as the game just ran too fast.

Shufflepuck cafe (played on the old macs)

Luckily I can run Thief: The Dark Project, Thief II: The Metal Age (and the big unofficial fan mod Thief 2x: Shadows of the Metal Age) on the current pc (you just temporarily have to disable one of the processes, as it's to do with hyperthreading), also can run the newer Thief III: Deadly Shadows although that runs a bit slowly sometimes as it requires a good graphics card.

I'm sure there's quite a few other games, but can't remember them all.
