It seems there will be a good amount of realism implemented into the game which is something I would like. No easy medkits and such things to use quickly, but you are required to actually perform actions to extract bullets and the likes as presumably the damage will heal over time, or extinguish flames on your clothing. It is said they will install many different animations for these actions.

It is said the AI will behave aggressively.

I don't know for certain, but I speculate the engine will be Ah, I just checked and the Dunia engine will be utilized. I don't know much about this engine but I hope to find out more soon enough.

I recall how Far Cry (1) was so enjoyable to play (and sometimes annoying). FC2 looks like it will be a great improvement, this time set in Africa. I think I would prefer FC2 over Crysis even simply due to the "realism" they say will be in it.

Well, from what I read it comes down to pressing a single button anyway and even works while moving or so. I'll wait and see. But the game could be very impressive anyway.

I wish they'd have the guts to make an all-new title for the game though. Sure, it's nitpicking. But what has this game got to do with Far Cry at all? What's the point in calling this one Far Cry 2 if not to promote a recognisable brandname?

I know, it's a pet peeve of mine. I just hate seeing every second game and almost all major games nowadays being sequels, certainly if in this case there's no good reason for it. It's even worse than in movies, though that's steadily getting worse.

Maybe they will make it more realistic by installing more sophisticated movements/gameplay required for extracting bullets and such actions. That would be nice.

You probably have a point about the title and such Geoffrey. Still, it looks it will be a good game.

Tried but didn't like the first one since you couldn't see anything in the jungle. Maybe this one will be better...

Simple really. Brand recignition. They draw in people who liked Far Cry with the title. And most people assume that a game that got a sequel must not have sucked ass so it might be worth a look.

Oh, I realise that very clearly. I just find it a shame the producers don't have the balls to let this unrelated game stand on its own merits.
