APEC security breached by Osama Bin Laden

Eleven crew from the ABC TV comedy show The Chaser have been detained by police after staging a fake motorcade through Sydney as part of an APEC week stunt.

The team from the satirical TV program The Chaser's War on Everything were in a convoy of three cars and two motorbikes which was reportedly ushered through two checkpoints in Sydney's APEC security "red" zone.

The convoy was pulled over in Macquarie Street on a block adjacent to the InterContinental Hotel, where US President George W Bush is a guest during the APEC summit.

Now on a more serious note, if they were terrorists and one of the cars in the motorcade was a car bomb... that would have been a potential disaster.

However have to remember that a car bomb possibly would make all the dogs go beserk... possibly...

Sometimes I wonder if it would be such a bad thing if they got to Bush...

Then again a car bomb has a lot of collateral damage and Cheney is next in line so it would be a net loss for the world.

They are acting rather petulant.

Hows this for NSW police procedure:
Don't stop motorcades, let them through automatically and don't look to closely at ID if presented.
Also if police, don't wear your badge so you too cannot be clearly identified as the real deal.
If someone is legally blind give them directions into the restricted zone and then put them in jail for 22 hours without access to a lawyer... because they followed the police directions.

They certainly aren't fascists, fascism implies a certain level of coordination and organisation.
