    Default Thanks EB team!

I'm sure you must get loads of posts like this but I would just like to say thanks for the best and most well researched game/mod I have ever played.

I find it hard to believe there are only 2 posts in here.

The developing and supporting team of Europa Barbarorum, have not been paid at all for this mod.
Yet to experience it, though in Beta stages, you would think that it is the sequel or expansion pack, or even the more charmed and eloquent brother, of Rome: Total War.

They have completely remade the entire product to every extent they could, without payment, without the recognition or support of The not-so-Creative Assembly, and surely have through their dedication suffered many faults and problems that occurred in their own private lives.
While others might not be capable or interested in expending years of theirs for the sake of justification, this rallied group of people did.
And from the stickied thread I saw above, they began so without any knowledge or impression other than a greatly healthy interest and knowledge in the Classical era, and a wish to spread it to others.
(Much the same is my quest in Equitation!)

So it is worth noting, and worth respecting openly, even if you do not learn or realise any detail on the ancient world, that they endeavoured and grew their party of supporters, so that all comers had the opportunity.

There's only one thing wrong in your post, Glenn: EB is not beta.

As a token of my own appreciation, I will make it a custom to, each month, sacrifice twe... hrrm... three bananas and a hippie in their honour. Such is my appreciation.

Monkey, You might run out of hippies pretty quick. I don't think there are many left. Unless you count ex-hippies of course. I think I might prefer Russia Almighty's brownies actually, I don't know much use for hippies...

Glenn, don't be surprised that there are so few responses here. It's not long since the previous one concerning the same topic fell off the front page. We appreciate the thanks though .

Run out of hippies? What a great world that would be! But of course, anyone to the left of America on the political scale is a hippie, and so you can see, good Sir, 'tis sadly impossible to run out of hippies. Canada is full of them.

But yeah, they are pretty worthless. That's why I'm sacrificing them. Feels like that's the only thing they're good for.

We need an EB Appreciation day, filled with loving thank you's,congrats,Ni's, good jobs, possible gifts, etc.

I salute the EB team and all there work bringing this mod to us.It was the best thing to ever grace my computer from the Internet and was the first thing I trusted enough to download and try.Thats apretty big deal really since I never done that before. Now I'm glad as I now get to enjoy the historically accurate (though impossible for me to spell right) factions it honors. For me EB is Rome:Total War.

Well, you tie them up to a pole, dance around it, bark at the moon and eat them raw. Just like any sacrifice, really. Their Holy Yellowness makes no difference in that aspect.

thanks to the EB Team for developing a great mod

I haven't had much time to play it, as I only got EB and RTW Anthology yesterday, but so far it looks really good, with tons of details (traits, etc) and units.

    Haha!

Well if you shot a banana with anything more powerful than a .22 calibre rifle I'd doubt there would be much left much less anything definable as a bullet wound!

I should go test that with my .223 haha, thats a good idea!

    DIE BANANA!

Anyways. To the EB team thanks for a great game im totally in love with it much more so than Vanilla! Take your time releasing EB2 tho as I dont have a PC that could run it atm... My PC blew up and im using my parents which kinda sucks

Only "bad" thing about EB and its not really to do with EB its more the crappy PC its run on is that it does use a hell of a lot of memory and it can get slow on my PC sometimes, tho only on load times and AI turns. Oh and vanilla armored hoplites were sexy... I miss them... Defending bride with 3 units of them/any other phalanx capable unit = win... Unless enemy has alot of missle units...

Other than that its great and its really giving me a more historical view of the ancient world! I've been playing as Epeiros and am at 210 BC or so and I found out the hard way that the Katapultai (sp) weapons hurt and large seige towers hurt too... After losing 30% of my men in a town defense before the towers even got to the walls... That made me decide to be dirty and defend the town center with Chaonian Agema blocking the entry points My next campaign will be Baktria... As their general cavalry unit is damn sexy....

Anyways i'd just like to say thank you to the whole team for a great game and experience

You should all quit your jobs and just design a new game ground up without all the limitations! Hehe

I am new to Rome:Total War, and have been kind of looking for mods as I play through my first short campaign. I downloaded a few of the one's that seemed the most highly recommended, and EB, is defintely the one I will be playing! The changes in names of the settlements is a bit confusing but I really like the depth of this mod. I'm still going to hold off until I finish my current campaign but boy and I looking forward to EB..thanks to all involved.

I learn ancient history at my school but i much rather play EB then going around the internet trying to find out more about the Greeks. I like my history (Carthage conquering Rome) better then the true history.

Excellent mod!! Thank you EB team!!
