    Default Quick question on incest..

Hey dudes, I'm blasting through the Brittania campaign with my King William Wallace the Just tearing the Brits a new one, so I'm a couple turns away from beating the campaign.

But I just got a weird request from the nobles that said they now want my creepy 54-year old geezer of a prince wants to marry his cousin, the princess daughter of William Wallace. So now I want to get them married so they get those funny traits but I have no idea how to do it. Can anybody help?

    The request...

The incest traits do not come from marriages. There is a %1 chance of being born with the first level (A Bit Odd). The sons of the inbred general then have a 63% chance of getting 1 level and 13% for 2 levels, its not really clear how to get above level 3, which would be born with level 1 and getting 2 more levels because father had it.

Sure cousins can kiss and more if they wish.

If you can't keep it in your knickers keep it in the family.

Why go across the street when you can go across the hallway.

    :-)

But seriously, although the church was strongly against marriage within 7 degrees of affinity (i.e. you couldn't marry anyone who shared the same greatgreatgreatgreatgreatgrandfather as you), it was a common occurence, and with the exception of certain blood diseases and inherited conditions like cystic fibrosis, its general affects are minor.

Hmm cool, thanks for the replies. I just can't figure out why the council would give me this mission when it seems I can't get these two freaks hitched. I've tried a diplomat, joining her with the general's army, nothing. I'm at a loss on this one.

Yeah me too, good stuff. I just thought maybe I'd seen some posts on here before with marriages within families producing some inbreds. On to the fertile crescent..

Usually, you'd select the princess and right-click the target, not selecting merge with army but marry princess to general.
Of course it could be that this general was married to someone else before you can marry the princess to him or sometimes, the game acts oddly and gives you a mission to marry brother to sister, which CA for some reason disallowed in M2TW (I think it was allowed in MTW though). Cousin marriages are normally possible from tests.

I don´t think you even need to marry that princess to anyone, and if you´re lucky that ol´geezer of yours dies without leaving an heir.
It´s rather small change of getting Inbred for 1 son or daughter... In real life it actually took hundreds of years until there were totally mad and deformed members of the royal family.
I had level 2 inbred dude once... He got married to normal noble woman and he was fertile... Otherwise nice guy expects he had 2 of 4 sons with level 2 inbred, other two had none expects they both were drunkard maniacs...
