    Default Guitarists

Out of curiosity, how many guitarists do we have here, and what equipment do you use? Did you take lessons, or are you self-taught? Any memorable moments?

I have a Fender Strat (cheap guitar, but not a bad deal for the money), and I might be getting an Ibanez soon. I also have an acoustic guitar, which I admittedly play less, though I keep it in good shape. It's both more expensive and better quality than the Fender, though you could say I'm comparing apples and oranges.

Electric bass player here. I play the guitar as well, let's face it, it's a lot easier than the bass. No offence.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

I air guitar here. My amp is a General Electric radio from the 80's or possible the 70's.

When I used to own the smallest music store in Canadian history, I had a lovely '72 Gibson SG. Couldn't play worth a gopher's kidneys, but with the guitar run through a whole floor full of Boss peddles, who needs to know how to play?

I bought my first guitar in Canada, almost on impulse. It was a store in Lindsay, Ontario called Van Halterns. I still use them for customer support or special parts, because I can call them from Germany and have them tell me what to do or give me a recommendation, without any trouble (my guitar teacher knows them, I was surprised to find out. Small world). I'd pay extra shipping on parts from there, of course, so most of my parts I get locally from Musik Klier here in Nürnberg.

I play both. Bass and well electric, but also classic guitar.

I've got a basic Ibanez steel string acoustic. I can play a grand total of 1½ songs.
