good question, apachean starts with every melee unit they can get and any of those units needs armor upgrading. Is armor upgrader required for longhouses to be build?
I did not get any use of them either but the Apache buildings are so cheap, I built them all.
I have no idea. Maybe the natives do not want to feel underdeveloped. They want an armourer even though it doesn't not seem to be able to upgrade any armour. At least I haven't noticed. When you are stinking rich 400 bucks is not a big investment if it helps to improve the natives' self-respect.

I think they get armor upgrades at possible level 2 armour maker (if it even exists) which no one knows how to get.

Smaug?
they get an armor upgrade (says padded, but it's really "wooden") that gives 2 points of armor. Not really sure which hut gives this, but I know one is
"Screw you guys, I'm going home..."

That's not the question. It's the armour maker's tipi or something like that. The question is what units benefit from building this hut. Some units cannot be upgraded, (rabbit boys, for example) and others already seem to have wooden armour and thus cannot be upgraded. So, the case is pretty much like armour factory in Europe: What's the point?Originally Posted by Per Ole

Armour factory in Europe rocked if you played the Italian factions but I get your drift. Now I know why the natives are laughing at me.

Edit: took off the second letter of the chief's name.

I like my pretentious name
It's a nice name , but the Indians would give you their own.... Probably something about mounting buffaloes or whatever.Originally Posted by Gaius Terentius Varro

I often thought that the name "Dances with Wolves" may have been an inside joke by the Souix Indians . They probably always had a tough time keeping a straight face around the Kevin Costner character in the movie.
As long as i am doing the mounting
