    1. Photoshop cannot read CAS files, only 3DS Max or GMax can and they need a plugin, GMax cannot export CAS files however even with the plugin.

    2. To the best of my knowledge no such map exists but it is entirely possible for you to create one.

    3. The pak extrator puts all files that it extracts into data/packs/DATA so they will never interfere with the game unless you move them to the actual data folder

hmm, ok, so im assuming then that the CAS files are for the 3d stuff and not necessary for modding colors on units, thanks!

ok, how can i go about making this map accurate, do i really have to draw it by hand or is there some eaiser way? i heard about some way of using actual maps and converting them into the kind that RTW can read.

ok so you mean that they will still work, and are editable, without me having to do anything with them? also, can i add new unit stuff in there with them and expect them to work?

Easiest bet, is to find a map that is bigger then the one you want and cut away the sections you don't want. The largest map in terms of area that I know of would be the Mundus map.

As for the unpacked files you can edit those to your hearts content but changes will not show up in game until you move changed files to their actual location from their unpacked location.
