Fellas why are Galatikoi Kluddolon cheaper than Baguadas when their stats, thier weapons, formation, and Stamina are similar?

... or why the Galatikoi Kluddolon description on that card specifically says they don't have javelins, while they most certainly do...

GRAARGH, I can't stay silent anymore. It breaks my heart to ruin my post count (666), but I just have to say something.

Galatia and North-West Gaul are 3000 km apart. You can't possibly expect similiar wages for those. Don't look at the stats, look at the context.

True... BUT they came from the same place, and since long knifes and spears were the prefferd weapons given to young, broke soldiers the discrapancy in price still bugs me.

Plus the fact that you need the 1st Reform to get Baguadas is kind of silly too.

Silly for historical reasons or for gameplay reasons?

I would say.... both.
-Since (as I've read in the EB unit description) spears and long knives were given to young, broke levys. So, I think, being able to train levy spearmen and levy knivesmen (made it up) should not require a restructuring of Gallic society, a.k.a a reform, nor a $200 (rounding) difference in recruting price.
