The trigger for the Makedonian Reforms is the same as the vanilla Marian Reforms, a Huge city in Italia.
Thanks for the responses guys, they will be really helpful when I get back to my game comp.
btw, which would you say is better, Hypaspitai or Pheraspidai? I have two of each to try them out against Pontus, but I'd like to get some opinions about them. What are they best used for? That way I'll know if I'm using them wrong or something.
Do the Epeiros get Taxeis Triballoi or Neitos? Do they get any Thraikians at all? (I know they get some Dacian units, but they ain't nothing special). Which Galatian units do they get? Because looking in the Custom battle thing I noticed that they didn't have their Heavy Spearmen or anything else of theirs.
btw, How come the Ptolemaioi get Legionary knockoffs, but everyone else gets a cruddy spearman unit? Why are their stats so mediocre? I'd rather ship over Taxeis Triballoi or Pheraspidai/Hypaspitai. The former have javelins and better numbers, the latter have far superior stats. It just doesn't make sense to give a standard heavy unit elite numbers, when elites are so much better and standard heavies have so many more units.
Can Hysteroi Pezhetairoi be recruited in all lvl 3 MIC's? or is are they unavailable in non-hellenic places (like Galatia or Italia)? Why can't Epeiros get them in Ambrakaia/Epidamnos, even though it is their homeland?
Are the Samnite Milites/Hastati very good? Theis stats seem to indicate so, but I haven't tried them in a long time, and never the Milites.
A couple of last questions:
Why doesn't the "effective against armor" trait appear for Thraikoi Peltastai and Dacain Shock Infantry? They use the falcata, which is supposed to be effective at cutting through armor.
Thanks for the help.
