Thread: Succession: what am I missing?

After playing Germany for 20 years on easy, I
decided to play the Danes on the hardest
difficulty, but I am having an unexpected
problem. My heirs are all perverted, sick
freaks, and their kids are, to one exception,
females. Goes without saying, the one son is
a total loser: nervous, and odd toed. He
ended up inherting the throne, and I barely
held the lands after his coronation (he used
the time to develop a taste for spirits)

But now he is pushing thirty, and is,
of course, unmarried. He is in rather poor
health, so I cannot blame the princesses for
not wanting to marry him. But what the Hell
am I supposed to do? I'd gladly replace the
freak with one of my generals, but I do not
    think I can.

Is there anything I can do to make him marry,
apart from starting a war, and ask for a
princess in order to let the enemy in peace?

On the same subject, was something I did the
reason for the HORRIBLE run of heirs I have
had? The last one had three influence, one
dread, and this is IT. No command, no piety,
no accumen. Is this because of the game
difficulty, or is there something else I am
missing. I swear, they must all be eating
    from lead plates, or something!

Well, maybe a lack of action in battle could be a factor, if princes are stuck in castles their whole lives they tend to develop negative vices...

Also, the odd toed vice indicates that you breed your own princes with your princesses, not a good idea as you tend to get all kinda of horrible vices as a result...

One of the great things about being a Muslim faction is that you never seem to have problems pumping out the heirs. As the Turks, I always have at least five or six princes roaming about in reserve. Must be the hareem life.
    Just an old-fashioned cowboy.

Must be, got one question about that. In past times all these princes provided one little downside: when one succeeded the king he killed all his rivals (brothers). Is this also the case in MTW?
