i pretty sure u need to use the ' key or 1 round about it on keyboard and the codes are the same hope it helps
Perhaps your keyboard settings aren't correct.
You have to make sure you've set it to International keyboard settings.
Check if you have the little keyboard icon just next to the tray icons (if not, right-click on your taskbar to find the setting), and click on the keyboard icon. A window pops up where you can change your keyboard and language settings.
I'm not sure if yours is messed up, but it might help.
Once you've set it to International, use that tilde (~) button!
Hope this helps!![]()

have the same problem ` doesnt work. Cannot find international settings for keyboard either.
Can you turn off fog of war on the data files?
The console key is either the topmost left of keyboard (next to #1) or the key to the left of the return key (the lower one, just above the R-Shift)...
Take a look to the FAQ, it might help...

I think on my keyboard it was the @ key (or maybe ~ or even ?, i cant remember cos i'm not at home right now).
Worst case scenario try pressing each of the keys until the console appears. That should only take you a couple of minutes.

It would never occur to me, for example, to assume other people might cheat just because they spent weeks trying to figure out how the console works![]()
Anyways, you should check out toggle_fow, it's quite nice to see what other people are up to.
Found it @ on my keyboard.
Is it possible to insert buildings into a settlement?
well, theres a finish production instantly cheat, which works in a similar way, with the exception of the whole needing the prerequisites first (in other words, you need Huge City and all previous barracks if you want that highest level one)
"Don't mind me, i happen the have the Insane trait....." -Me
Thinking more alon the lines of the AI factions unique buildings which would be built if it was nt obsessed with military production
Do they still have a way to force diplomacy? I can't seem to get an client kingdom no matter how much I try.
Cheating ruins the game thats my :![]()

aww hell no
I use the cheat codes when I have already lost a game and don't really want to start over. When I have, for no good reason the Venetians, Hungarians, Poles, Papacy, Russians and HRE all invade on the same turn early in the game I can sometime use a cheat to survive three or four turns longer and some of them will make peace with me. This is a good way to practice generalship skills and experiment with tactics
Normally, in such situations I use the "add_money 40000" cheat code because unlike real life a lot of problems in this game can be solved by throwing unending piles of money at them. However, this is a strange cheat code. I think it gives every faction that much money which makes everybody harder to beat. It also makes it very hard to stop once you use it because armies and building expenses rapidly get way beyond what you could otherwise build.
But having endless supplies of cash means you can bribe a pretty much endless stream of generals into leaving you alone.
I wish there was a semi-toggle_fow code that would reveal the location and ownership of cities without showing any of the particulars
