Thread: How do I get rid of the rebel spawning?

Default How do I get rid of the rebel spawning?

I changed the descr_strat file to have the rebel spawn value at 100.

But I read somewhere that the game only reads this once when you start a campaign. I'm already 100 turns into my current campaign and these $%&% rebels are pissing me off.

Is there any way to teleport them into some obscure place in Africa or even not have them spawn anymore? Thanks.

Maybe you should be a Good Leader and lower the taxes, keep plenty of spies in at least each one of your cities. I never seem to have problems with rebels, Sometimes they act like Robin Hood but a couple of units usually put them in their place

I own 70 settlements and own ~70%+ of the map. I'm not recruiting 70 spies just to get rid of 1-2 peasant unit rebels. The rebel spawns didn't bother me in the beginning because when you own a small portion, you don't really notice it. Imagine trying to scan the whole map every single turn just to get rid of the rebel spawns.

I have rebels spawning in provinces with public order 120%+. I thought the rebel spawns in med 2 were random.

Pretty sure they're random, I just train a few more militia and autoresolve, then disband. You probably won't having problems with money at that point.

That would make sense, but when you have a kingdom that large, it becomes a chore just scanning the campagin map for rebels.

And I'm also fighting the Mongols, so I'm wasting money like no tomorrow.

You can't change the spawn settings in your current campaign. Rebels spawn at random. I suggest you get a flying squad of jobless generals and let them handle the rebels.

by the time i am that big, i usually have tons of cash.

I make 2 half stacks of decent cavalry led by a spare general. They are the Ivarrian Police Flying Squads. They zoom around the empire killing the bandits that pop up. If the enemy looks a bit tougher, i send a few militia from a nerby city to join with the cavalry.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I just got the ability to recruit horse crossbowmen as Venice and just in time because these rebels are turning to be elite units.
