    Default Thanks again

After nearly a year of playing EB, I still haven't played as Rome or Carthage. I say thank you because I think its a testament to how much you have revolutionized the game by including so much depth for the other factions.

I'm sure I'll get around to them some day.

Yeah, really. Non-Roman factions in vanilla were so bland.

EDIT: Well, I still play as Rome. :P But now I have something interesting to kill.

Romans?Who are these Romans *servant whispers in ear*.Oh,those guys living on that giant boot-shaped land. Why care about them.Everyone else is more interesting

I tease the Romans.Really though, EB has put forth many new and fun factions to play as,and a good chunk I've never heard of or can spell right.Hopefully I'll get to playing as them. All thats left is Aeudi,Arveni,Casse,Lusotannan,Egypt, Seluicids,Parthia, okay really just about everyone except Sweboz,Sabeans,Bactria, and KH.

i totally agree though, in vanilla the barbarians and everyone else were practically the same, making it dull to fight against barbarian factions. eg
1st battle against Gaul-OMG naked fanatics! theyl tear me to pieces!
battle against germania-o....my god naked fanatics. this'll be tough.
    spain-naked fanatics, oh no....
    dacia-*yawn*

no, i have to agree with my friend here *pats scourge's head * that now EVERYONE is interesting. hooray for equality.

Yes,things are much different in EB,though the naked fanatics are still around (worse then ever it seems).Sadly,I have yet to experience them as I am having to much fun in the eastern part of the map (evident by my name).Except the Sweboz and KH I've never even bothered with the western factions.

My next faction to work on is Pahlav so I can work on getting rid of my weakness in cavalry.I NEVER got the hang of cavalry in vanilla RTW or BI, so I had the unusual infantry-based armies for my Sassinad empire.Worked though (no more ERE in that game, he he he). Once thats done I might move on to the west, maybe Casse or something.

the R: TW has became truly interesting w. EB, every faction is unique in their own war ways, no or little factions share the same tactic of conquering - since TW focuses mostly on that ^^ (well I only played 4 so far, but due to many unpleasant lost, I came into that conclusion )

that makes every decision of conquer becomes soo exciting, due to many stuffs have to considered before actual sending an conquering army such as transporation, notable mercs that r avaible at that region, times required to levied regional troops (meat shields ), suitable commanders for outer regions, resupply of a core army in the long run, nearby factions power and enemy army(which is the same everywhere in vanilla vers - but in EB, different faction army forced me to change the tactics frequently to keep least losses since lost of homeland elites is quite hard to re-supply.)

My most interesting experience recently that I have to used sammite merc army half for my army of conquering Itally, quite history accurated I'd love to see ^^

of course, so many interesting history lessons learned when conquering new provinces

Only 1 thing I felt annoying in EB: since the starting of the game, the slow aspects were quite cool, respect the times for building an empire. But later in games, it's rather tiresome because u captured several towns at once w. large populations (even w. extermining, those towns have really large population growth and became crowded in notime while short-time civil buildings provided not enough bonus to keep the mass in order) It forces me to stay inactive for quite along times in order to keep control of new-conquered regions.

Btw, English is not my main, so sorry for any confusion caused
Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.

Hate to tease, but as much as you guys are saying you enjoy having a big variety of factions, having all the new units in the next release will just make it seem totally new again I think, especially if you often make use of auxiliaries. So many local troops now are in, in addition to big things like generals and elephants. It's crazy how many new ones are in this next update.

...and don't forget certain other "upgrades", especially for the Eastern factions...

Now, now. No need to get angry. I'm sure you'll get a chance to play with all the new stuff before 2009.
