I kill animals all the time for all sorts of reasons. Af ly here, a spider there...
Now what makes killing a deer worse than killing a mosquito, except that the deer is bigger?

Insects are horrible ugly little spawns of satan and have no feelings. Cute fuzzy forest critters all have feelings and killing them is a hateful sin. You murderers.

I'm not a hunter, but I will shoot at starlings in my yard.

Why, you ask? It's true, I don't use them for starling sandwiches. But starlings are an invasive species to North America, crowding out native species, upsetting the natural balance, and so I consider it my duty to wage ceaseless war against them in the form of shooting at them about a half dozen times a year.

It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder

Yep, I eat 'em and they're pretty tastey in stew. I have issues with people who hunt so they can brag about how big the animals they shot were.
Why did the chicken cross the road?

So that its subjects will view it with admiration, as a chicken which has the daring and courage to boldly cross the road,
but also with fear, for whom among them has the strength to contend with such a paragon of avian virtue? In such a manner is the princely

Yea, I can't stand people who "hunt" just for the trophy, or just to take a picture of it and leave it there.

Far as I know, the original language was Aramaic, and it read, "Thou shalt not do murder."

No, not Aramaic. Not the Ten Commandments. Very few passages of the Bible were written in Aramaic; most were written in Hebrew. You translation is correct, but it was not originally written in Aramaic.

EDIT: Did a search on Wiki and came up with this.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Aramaic occurs in four discrete places in the Hebrew Bible:

Ezra 4:8–6:18 and 7:12–26 — quotations of documents from the 5th century BCE concerning the restoration of the temple in Jerusalem.
Daniel 2:4b–7:28 — five tales about Daniel and his colleagues, and an apocalyptic vision.
Jeremiah 10:11 — a single sentence in the middle of a Hebrew text denouncing idolatry.
    Genesis 31:47 — translation of a Hebrew place-name.

[edit] Other occurrences, according to some scholars
Genesis 15:1 — the word במחזה (ba-maħaze, "in a vision"). According to the Zohar (I:88b), this word is Aramaic, as the usual Hebrew word would be במראה (ba-mar’e).
Numbers 23:10 — the word רבע (rôḇa‘, usually translated as "stock" or "fourth part"). Rabbi J.H. Hertz, in his commentary on this verse, cites an unnamed scholar's claim that this is an Aramaic word meaning "dust."
Job 36:2a — Rashi, in his commentary on this verse, states that this phrase is in Aramaic.

    I believe that is accurate.

I think hunting with bow and arrow is forbidden in Europe...
