Experience bonuses

I have observed that new experience points are not giving the +1 bonus to defence anymore(in americas campaign). So the question is what exp is giving now in kingdoms besides +1 to att...

More accuracy for missile and gunpowder units. My culverin was sometimes missing an entire enemy army when having zero XP. When it had 7 or 8 XP every shot was a hit. I was able to fire single shots at enemy units knowing that every shot was a hit and that I could severely weaken every enemy unit.

There was one Mayan army with those priest of kukuluku or something. You know those singing pyjamas with a chicken on their head. I had to destroy them and the enemy general to stop my conquistadores from routing. A few volleys and the chickens were gone.

Basically, you can get peasants to almost fight to the death :P

I don't think so. Try running two units around the map, one with 3 golden chevrons, one with zero, and you'll find that they both equally tire.
Maybe the more experienced ones recovers faster than the unexperienced one?
