    Hello,

I've been playing STW and MTW for years before finding this place. Mostly Shogun actually. Despite the fact that the medieval version is technically better in just about every way, I always find myself coming back to Shogun for some reason.

    Nice to meet you

That geisha is out there. She can't be bargained with. She can't be reasoned with. She doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And she absolutely will not stop, ever, until you and all your heirs are dead.

Nice to meet you Zyxophoj! Welcome to the Org!

Your signature reminds me of how scary Geisha are. If I am ever in Japan and see any woman dressed like that I am running away. Also those chopstick-esque hair decoration things they wear always make me nervous when I see someone with them in real life.

Can you run forever? The geisha is a woman who can get any man she wants.

I don't use them myself because it's just too easy to wipe out the other factions this way. And because the building prerequisites are a bit on the high side (which they should be, for such an overpowered unit).

I'd be hoping that if I left Japan she would forget about me. The Japanse are notoriously isolationist after all.

I also never built geisha. They were an unbeatable weapon in what was otherwise a very balanced game. Winning through assasination always felt like a 'cheap' way to win, I prefer my victories to be earned on the bloody (as in covered in blood) field of battle!

    Welcome zyxophoj

Have you tried any of the newer titles yet?

I am a bit shy of hair pins my self.

I am usually trying to find ways of killing my own heirs!

    Welcome to the Org, zyxophoj!

I agree that geishas are indeed overpowered in STW. I do usually train a few of them, but only as a defensive deterrent against enemy geishas. I never use them as "offensive" assassins anymore; they're just too easy.

I remember the very first time I ever advanced far enough to get geisha. I went overboard and assassinated everything in sight. Before I knew it half of Japan was in my control and the other half was controlled by ronin.

    Welcome to the Org zyxophoj.

Welcome new members, it has been a long time since I did not greet some members.
