    Default Man of hte Hour

I ran into something strange with a MotH where I fought the enemy stack with a Scottish general in the Brittania campaign(the guy who starts off in the northern most castle). I won a heroic victory and got a MotH with an option to adopt the my general. I thought all generals were faction members already. Is this normal?
Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.

In fact, not all generals are faction members, that's why you can marry some to your princesses to raise their loyalty...

It has been so since Vanilla M2TW times (and even RTW times)

Generals available from the start or recruited later (and no that's not possible in vanilla) aren't in the family tree. There's a difference between a general and a named character, but it's small.
Most prominent when you play RTW: BI though as you can recruit generals there.

Huh, I never did play BI much. Oh well.
