    Look at the unit picture in-game or here. You'll see they have no plumes. Or is this just an error in the current version?

    Oh, yes, the current versions have some ahistorical errors that are being worked on. You may see some small tweaks to several units in the Roman roster based on new and continuing scholarship/research. This is the reason we had Xprime re-skin the Imperial cohors and cohors evocata, for example.

    They do look nicer with plumes, pointy heads are reserved for the Western front.

    i actually was arguing with the modders about the plumes when the preview first came out and they set me straight! (does any of the modders remember that? )
    anyhow, i looked it up in other sources- by the time of augustus, plumes were still used, but were going "out of fashion," so to speak.
