Thread: problem with descr_projectile.txt
ezekiel6 02:14 10-06-2007
I am currently trying to get the firethrowers into the grand campaign, but on loading, I crash out at the splash screen. I have checked the log and the last part before unspecified error reads "error at line 1453 expected "Display". I don't understand how there could be a problem here as the descr_projectile file is just a direct copy of the one from the crusades folder. Any idea how I could fix this or how to get Firethrowers in properly?

Cheers.

Are you running through the kingdoms.exe? The medieval2.exe maybe doesn't support the projectile type.

Yeah you're right, I wasn't running through the right .exe, I figured it out by looking at Unspoken Knight's Retrofit mod. The firethrowers are working perfectly now. Cheers.

I've run into another problem now, that I can't seem to fix. Now that I have everyhting running from the kingdoms.exe the unit voices are messed up. Currently my Scotsmen are speaking German. I have seen this crop up with some other people but following what they did hasn't worked. I've tried deleting the events.dat and .idx, same with voices but that doesn't work, removing everything cuts out all voices and sfx even after the new files have been generated. I've also tried copying over from the vanilla data/sound folder but that just causes a crash. Anyone know how I might fix this?
