For those who think the AI doesnt use assasins...

Thi came as a sock to me! th romans( i think its them) actually assasinated a general.... and this has never happened to me in a game before... i am shocked.

It happened to me also couple of times. I think that it depends on the difficulty set of your campaign. I always play on very hard campaing difficulty (medium - battles) , so AI tries more dirty tricks, assasinations included.

I got surrounded by 3 assasins as Casse. I just created a assasin and killed them off one by one

The amount the AI manages to assassinate your generals is relatively low, but I think its about at the correct amount. I've been shocked several times to see one of my up and coming generals dead. But I've always rather liked that it throws a curve ball at you ever so often.

The AI uses assasins a lot in my campaigns, but seems to be rather unsucessful most of the time. In one Aedui campaign though, the romans murdered my faction leader. Boy, I was pissed...Actually when I try to kill a family member, especially a faction leader or heir, it says I have a 1% chance. I really wonder how they did that. Ok, he had a lot of traits that said he was an old drunkard, perhaps that helped.

I've managed to kill enemy family members with 1% chance rate, of course, im sure I had luck pouring out my ass that day...

Recently they assasinated my legendary 5 stars veteran general,who won over 30 battles against AS &Hayasdan.The last hope of Pontic kingdom is dead!:(
AS is going to subjugate my territory in 10 years.But it was very interesting campaign!!:)

I think in EB it is similar to vanilla, but hopefully I haven't yet face them in my few campaigns. In vanilla this ***** murderers have managed to kill at least two my faction leaders!!!

they've never assasinated my faction leader nor any other character. However i used one of my legendery assasins to kill theres , i killed him in my first try (30% chance),talk about luck.

Romans managed to kill one of my upcoming young generals. On the other hand it is quite difficult to kill an enemy character, at least from a so called civilized faction. Barbarians are much easier - especially when they are former captains. I managed to kill about a dozen Sweboz family members so far, of which two had a 95% success probability.

I also lost a faction leader to an assassination, sad thing was I saw the assassin coming and laughed as he approached my faction leader... it was a tragic day.

In one of my Roman campaigns I lost three family members to assassins, first at the hands of Lusotannan (I think) and then the Aedui (I think). But overall it still seems relatively rare.
