Excellent preview. I loved playing as Saba before, this makes it even better. Only question I have here: the generals look significantly darker skinned and somewhat more Eastern African than other Sabean troops. Does that reflect a particular political situation or is it simply the result of having different skinners doing them? Just looked a little odd to me.

I am very very very pleased to see the eastern Africans being protrayed this way as opposed to almost naked men wearing loincloths carrying spears like on RTW. I saw the Aethipikon Agema unit as a huge step in the right direction and this makes me very very content! I am dying to get my hand on 1.0. Great job EB team!

Though, what about the Jewish role in the Sabean civilization? When did the first significant Jewish migrations to Yemen and Ethiopia take place, and what effect did they (or could have had) on the armies in the region?

Its a shame though that the Agema got Lorica Segmenta'd . Cause a bunch of taller angry armored ethiopians ain't no fun .

Well done, another great teaser. A couple of questions, will Ptolomai have access to all the ethiopian units? And realizing everything is WIP but is it a priority to translate Sabean Archers to appropriate unit name by 1.0 release? just sticks out a bit using English.

Well, it appears they've used greek for the ethiopian unit names, and a language I'm not familiar with for the Sabean units (arabic, perhaps)....

I was trying to gleam what word meant Sabean, but every unitname with the word Sabean in it is different, so who knows.

Hey Qwety, is it Hebrew that you used for the unit names? If so, what's the reasoning? My uneducated guess would place a southern semitic toungue such as that of the Sab‘yn closer to Arabic than Hebrew (with -n in plurals, as in Sab‘yn, instead of -m as in -say- Aravim ― also that b > v thing looks like Hebrew) but then what do I know?
