Default AW: You know your an EB nerd if...

If you think "no, just another turn" instead of "no, just another five minutes of sleep" when you wake up in the morning, not yet awake and still dreaming of moving around your stacks in the mountainous north.

If you think of strategies for securing the Balkans while you take a walk in the city.

If you can tell what Doryphoroi Pontikoi are, or the difference between a Thureos and an Aspis.

Or you instinctively move your hand towards you and to the right when you finish something. The elephant thing was a joke but I have done this on several occasions.
Why did the chicken cross the road?

So that its subjects will view it with admiration, as a chicken which has the daring and courage to boldly cross the road,
but also with fear, for whom among them has the strength to contend with such a paragon of avian virtue? In such a manner is the princely
    chicken's dominion maintained. ~Machiavelli

When waiting in a lunch line you worry about the possibility of a flanking attack by enemy cavalry and try to convine the others in line to re-arrange into a better formation, and try to arm them with forks and knives.

But this is where the real difficulties begin, since each student inevitably selects, constitutes criteria, according to his own unconscious assumptions, social, ethical or political. Moral conditioning, in the widest sense, plays a far greater part in the matter than most people- especially the historians themselves-ever realize."

...if you get a (romani)campaign finished, swollen with pride you walk to the next window and open it, loud and orgastic you begin your speech with the words: "Romans, Fellow Citizens, Friends! I Have Conquered! Bow To My Mightyness...!"

You smile at the mention of the word "Bartix".

You wonder why your local tavern seems to create more unrest than it quells.

You think a sergeant has 3 more armour, attack and morale than a cadet (think about it).

You scoff at generals testifying to Congress: if they were any good they would have stars floating over their heads, not on their shoulders!

You plan a trip to the mediterranean, and wonder how many EB wonders you will be able to catch. Done that.

You know you're an EB nerd if...

if you wake up in the middle of the night dreaming of playing an EB boardgame, complete with miniatures, cards and all... it happened last night.

Gawd, I actually use the information in EB in my history class essays...

Am I pathetic, or is that a constructive use of EB's broad knowledge? :(

You play football with your friends or watch an NFL game and you start thinking about the offensive and defensive lines like a phalanx, the linebackers/defensive ends like flanking infantry, the wide receivers and cornerbacks like cavalry, and the safeties and QB like generals. Then you get mad when you get penalized for smashing into the rears of the engaged linemen (cut blocking) or aiming at the neck where the gap in the armor is between the helmet and the pads. Next, you shed all your armor a la gaesetae and start busting out a tribal war cry like they do in rugby: https://youtube.com/watch?v=kd0kDxP04eI

Just kidding on some parts! But the whole strategy thing
