What Class you play as Kek? I sold my Oblivilon (needed the money you see, now I am going to buy a cheap copy on amazon!).

I was this One Lizard class that was good at Pick Locking (or sneaking, don't remember) and swimming or something. Did quite well really.

    Really is a addictive game!!

I'm still sure KingWarman is talking about Morrowind.

Elder Scrolls 4 is Oblivion. Pretty but ultimately soulless. I became a bit of a mod call girl in an attempt to alter the game to something more interesting (and to improve the graphics even further).

I just can't stand the voice acting: only a few voices, all badly done. It became really grating and was the biggest turn off for me. I found myself missing the more traditional text boxes.

I still have it installed and sometimes load it up, only to quit within minutes.

That's funny, I had exactly the same problem with the previous game. The voice acting was so irritating that after a while I tried really hard not to bump into other characters in order not to have to hear it.

"What do you want, outlander?" To get right away from you!

I heard this had been fixed in Oblivion but apparently it wasn't.

My other major grips with Morrowwind was the really awful UI. I can hardly believe anyone put up with it, and I've heard the UI for Oblivion is worse still!

IMO It's amazing what gamers will put up with...

Here are my experiences for those interested.

It turns out that MMM and OOO don't go well together (without downloading something else and setting that up...). So I went for OOO and some other smaller mods like unofficial patch (conflicts with OOO but I don't care anymore), Stealth overhaul (seems to make my regular hotkeys mixed up), Elven map (can't remember the name - but if you use it you have to change your oblivion.ini to make it work, found out after some swearing at the screan that RTFM works), Phinix dark UI (no real problems with this one actually!) and a time scale changer to make the days longer. And I also added the FREE Fighters Stronghold from Bethesda (free until sunday that is).

The game in itself is beautiful, and a lot of fun. The mods should expand on this and I think they probably do. I'd reccomend only using a few mods though or you will drown. The fact that the hotkeys from Stealth overhaul 1)don't work half the time and 2) disrupt the regular hotkeys makes me want to remove that one. Only it's fun to shoot enemies from where they can't see me

Maybe I'll reinstall and only use OOO and a couple of new mods like Fighters Stronhold. I fear that my repeated modding makes the game unstable. Haven't had any ctd's yet, but it gives me an error each time I exit.
Nope - no sig what so ever.

Ah, but in Morrowind the voice was just garnish. It was merely a standard greeting for that kind of character. Actual conversations were in text. In Oblivion the whole of every conversation is in voice. You cannot avoid it! Just think on that, and then think about what this means for the "Radiant AI" NPC conversations!

I gave Morrowind all of about 1 day before uninstalling it and wouldn't bother with any of their newer games after that "experience". Irritating clone characters that all say the same annoying things, a horrible UI and quite possibly the worst combat system I've yet seen, all contributed to this. Having to ask everyone the same lengthy questions then read through the equally lengthy replies while wondering if any of them would reply with anything different was also very frustrating.

Daggerfall, Morrowind, Battlespire, and Oblivion all had Argonians as playable races, but he is talking about the fourth in the original Elder Scrolls series (Oblivion).

And as for class, I never use a pre-built class. I always custom make mine. I prefer either Imperial or Bosmer (Wood Elf) for my race, and something stealth-oriented for the class.
For my stealth-oriented character, my main seven skills were Armorer, Heavy Plate, Blunt, Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, and Hand to Hand. In other words, the skills I do NOT use. This means I can gain skill in the ones I DO use (Athletics, Blade or Marksmanship, Block, Illusion, Restoration, Sneaking, etc) without worrying about leveling up. I can fully control when I level up just by using the skills I never normally use.
    Powerleveling. It's a wonderful thing.

Before I stopped playing Oblivion I had an really really high leveled Nord, with almost everything maxed out, I beat almost every single quest ever in the game, I was the leader of everything, and then I went on a mad rampage, went to EVERY single town and killed everyone. It was fun, having 50 gaurds chase you around the whole map.

So I'm really can't imagine how you managed to run Oblivion on high.
    Especially RAM (at least gig).
My comp has a bit worse CPU (if you have p4) and ram (if you have ddr400). Video card no match though. And it was just screwed up with G3. Maybe TES4 has more optimized engine, but seriously, it's a one of the most exacting dx9 games! ...

Yea I know, but when I was installing it and when it was figuring out the quality, it stuck it on High and it ran fine. SO, It was good.

I was playing Oblivion until about a month ago on me 360. I was female Dunmer WarMage and did everthing except for the Daedric Quests, I only have Vaermina's quest and Clavicus Vile's and of course, Hermaeus Mora's quest. Man, I love the Skeleton Key. Don't like battlemages w/ their emphasis on heavy armor. Then I started a new one as a Nord Crusader and got to the Chorrol Gate and never finished it. I never finished Morrowind, however, too much walking, which is why I prefer battlespire/oblivion. I just downloaded Arena two days ago and downloaded an emulator last night. Hopefully tonight I can play Arena b/c the graphics look so awesome (for its time period). I want to be a Bosmer Ranger or maybe an assasin. I think it's funny how Argonians have human hands on the game. I hope the next TES won't be a MMO b/c then I'll will be pwned so bad, not much of a combat person.
Edit:Whoops, I meant Daggerfall not Battlespire. I've never played Battlespire or Redguard
