I don't think I can custom build my class in Arena...but I will if I ever play Daggerfall. I know that the guy who developed Morrowind took 20 attempts to make it out of the starter dungeon. I finally made it out (on my 9th try;I made it on my 8th try but I forgot to save and was killed by an Orc.) as a male Bosmer Ranger and I've been transported to a city called Emperor's Run and now I have to find a place called Fang's Lair to find the first staff piece.
King Warman where were you transported after going through the shift gate. Right now, all I have is a katana and a measly round shield. Hopefully I can retrieve the staff piece by tommorrow;wish me luck...
funny, how this thread has evolved into one based on Arena not Oblivion anymore
