They come in three waves of 3 to 5 stacks. If you beat the first wave you will get a message that is faction destroyed. Don't let that fool you. The will return with a fresh stack and be at war with you. You can beat them in tree ways:

1. The ugly way. Only cowards and descendants from the Mafia will do this. Create an army of experienced assassins and take out their generals.

2. The easy way. Generals that don't trust their skills in the open will do this. Fight them at choke points like bridges, river crossings or cities. If you play with England, Turks or the Poles you can use stakes.

3. The brave way. This is the way real men fight and die. Meet them on the field of glory and fight them. Their are many ways to do that: all cavalry armies, armies heavy on archers you name it.
