If there is anything you can't hold against Halo it's that, it may be overhyped but the mechanics are as elegant as ever, tactics in the Halo's are extremily flexible, that is what makes them so great. It's not an action rpg like Bio, shock, it's a straight shooter and it strikes the perfect balance between firepower and melee combat, core design is a thing of beauty, it are other things most of all level design and repetition that prevent me from calling it true classics.
