Default found a bug i think...

i was bored and i just toggled_fow so i could see how the other guys were expanding, and i noticed britain was trading with the rebels, then i looked at the diplomacy screen and they were allied with the rebels.. is that possible? maybe that's why britain always stays at 1 city 99% of all games!

casse will usually attack the allies once they have eneough of an army to do so. its just like that to prevent them from getting destroyed early on.

some factions will not expand in some games no matter what their diplomacy is. for example i have not had a single game where lustonann or the getai have expanded.

Some factions have certain Eleutheroi allies in EB. Trade is conducted with these factions as normal.

Um, no. The Eleutheroi are all one faction, you either have a trade agreement with all of them or none of them.

The Casse start off at peace with the Eleutheroi because at our start-date the tribes of Britain had recently made peace amongst each other, and as the Casse are only really in touch with those eleutheroi that they were at peace with it was decided to make an exception in this once case.

Hmmm, I could have sworn that I was trading with some of my Eleutheroi neighbors and at war with others. I must admit, I've never payed much attention, and considering, like you said, the Eleutheroi are one faction, that wouldn't even be possible anyways.

    Thanks for the clarification, Foot.

That also makes for a potentially quite interesting early campaign with the Casse, as you can actually pull a decent income out of the trade with the Eleutheroi provinces (and the Gauls once they get around to building ports mind you) until you can start kicking arse and taking names. Pretty rare for an "one city wonder" starting position.

I'll have to remember that verb.
"Let us remember that there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design. I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. --- Proof of the existence of the FSM, if needed, can be found in the recent uptick of global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. Apparently His Pastaness is to be worshipped in full pirate regalia. The decline in worldwide pirate population over the past 200 years directly corresponds with the increase in global temperature. Here is a graph to illustrate the point."

What? never expanded? I have seen Getai expand on most occasions, once it became a superpower and wiped out Makedonia and Epeiros. The Lusitani often kick Karth-hadast out of Spain and expand into celt territory.

Of course this isn't most often seen until 250-220 bc

I've seen both inaction and action from Getai, Luso and Casse. I think it depends on a crucial win/loss seige early on, maybe a battle that is 50:50 goes the wrong way for them and they get stuck for ages.

I've noticed that the AI tends to seige cities with an army that is even or close to the garrison, though if there is nothing else they will zerg it.
