Thread: Cost of mercenaries vs. regular troops

Default Cost of mercenaries vs. regular troops

So, I was wondering: Will mercenaries and regular troops still cost the same for identical units in 1.0?

Merc cost = b*(2.3 + 0.15e), where b is cost of recruitment in barracks and e is number of chevrons.

So I guess that means that their initial price will be a lot higher. I guess the upkeep follows the same rule?

    PS: Are you sure it isn't (2.3 + 0.15e) * b?

Right you are. I'll edit. But the upkeep is the same as the barracks unit. We cannot change that without spending lots and lots of EDU slots, which are in very short supply.

    LOL.

    [(2.3 + 0.15e) * b] and [b * (2.3 + 0.15e)] are the same, assuming that the asterisk represents multiplication. XD

Well, unless e and b are Grassmann variables.
