There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

The Constitution's Article VI says "all treaties made ... shall be the supreme law of the land, and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby."

"The Constitution means what it says," said Justice Stephen Breyer. "But there happened to be a few instances where the nature of the obligation or the intent of the party makes it difficult to enforce it as a binding judgment of a[n international] court. That is not this case."
Legally, he deserves a new trial if that's what the international body ruled.

I don't see where we are going to deport him?

Although, I do agree death is warranted for such a heinous crime of gang rape and murder. I'd be satisfied with that or life imprisonment with heavy labor.

The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder

What kind of circumvention is that to say something like "Oh, we made a treaty with you, true, but you see, it's not applicable in our [provinces] because they are almost-not-really-wannabe-sovereign"?

The Constitution is clear on this case.

Of course if the evidence is clear, which I'd hazard a guess it is, the verdict won't come out particularly different.
