    Not too shabby.

I just purchased this via download and I am pleased so far. Playing only the Brittania Campaign so far, and I am MOST pleased with:

    • LOTS of new music
    • Stone forts
    • Regional focus, altered map

And the MOST important, long awaited feature:

The ability to direct AI reinforcements.

CA: EXPAND THIS FEATURE TO INCLUDE ALL AI CONTROLLED UNITS. This would allow for the player to effectively detach units from the main player-controlled army and count on them doing something other than be destroyed. Again, expand on this PLEASE! Great job!

Although this expansion adds a lot of new features and gameplay, it is still slighty rough around the edges. There are grammatical and punctual errors throughout, masses of installing errors, and the garrisoning system in castles is still found wanting.

While enthralling me with new civilizations, this expansions' civilizations that are existing from vanilla are virtually unchanged. Several new units and a few different regions is inadequate. Native American factions are virtually identical.

In short, it could be much better; but it still gives me something to waste some time on.

Well, there's a couple of opposing viewpoints, huh?

I'll not add mine, or I'd tilt the balance toward KINGDOMS IS AWESOME!

Started off playing wales, vh/vh and I'm really enjoying it, the maps are a particular favorite, gives the games a really new feel.

The forts are superb, at last something worth building & actually defending.

Really like the changes to spies at the outset, having a low chance at entering cities without agents present. Also the ability for assassins to actually have a chance at taking out merchants early on is cool too.

The aggressive battlefield AI, even when they are the defender, is another stroke of genius imo.

Love the idea around the actual conquest requirements to not only take but hold area's.

New intro movies & the appareance of hero's/kings is totally groovy.

The only thing I'm kind of hoping is in, (not seen it, and doubt it will be ), is the re-emergence of destroyed factions. Anyone seen this out of interest?

So far a 9/10, (9 because the install was the usual obstacle course).

    Now playing the Americas campaign.

Surprisingly enjoyable. I am having quite a time "conquering" the new world. A very interesting and delightful new experience.

I am very pleased with the kingdoms expansion after the boredom that was M2TW.

Technically it's the king you start with, but they don't get a special event or anything like that. Owning all the other factions with your late-game units is some consolation, but not perhaps all that much.

Hmmm.....Yeah, that kind of sucked : ( the king wasn't even that great. But not getting attacked by anything and beating the long campaign before getting any calivermen is pretty rad.
