    Okay, from what I understand, everyone serves a term, saves the game, then puts it up to download. The next person in rotation downloads the saved game, plays the next however many turns, and the cycle repeats? Or am I missing it completely?

    you have the gist of it, but our the entire player base gets to meet and talk out what the nation should do though council. Then the Sophet (current leader) does what the council has decided. It should be a ton of fun and i look forward to you joining us! As you play you will get the hang of it

    I wasn't able to figure out how this worked before the time allotted for people to join was over, so I do not think I'll be in this game. Hopefully I'll make the next one!

    If i am not mistaken the game is open to new players all the time. I would PM bootsiuv and see if we can slide you in somewhere. As of this time i am aware of an open senator slot in kart hadast our capital. I would look into it!

    Looks like it's off to a good start!

    These are some total succession game noob questions, so be gentle...

    I assume it is correct (and probably advisable) to start a new game,
    check out the situation, and consider the moves I would make. This
    will be my guide in making proposals, and voting on the proposals on
    the floor. Am I basically correct?

    And in the future, I will use the posted save game?

    Also, the motions will be voted on by chat saturday, excepting the Shophet
    election? If I can't make it to the scheduled chat, is it possible to post
    votes, or is it exclusive to Xfire chat?

    1. Yes, probably a good idea.
    2. Sure, you can download and peruse, but only the new Shophet will play the next term in game, along with any govs who have to fight battles.
    3. Yes, you are right. You will be able to post your votes in the council thread if you are unable to make live chats.

    Hello noble governor and future sophet Bootsiuv (Mago)! I installed all mod to EB 1.0 fresh copy and begin an SSbQ campaing to better use my influence in te senate, then it came to me that I do not know somethings:
    Unt size - large or huge (which I preffer most);
    Battle time limit or without time limit (which I preffer the most)
    Manage all settlements?
    Was force diplomacy considered in modifications? If not I advise we reconsider, after Ptolemais AI start attaking it cames almos every single turn.

    I just wanted to chime in at your comment on starting a SSbQ game. To me i think it would detract from the anticipation of the game to play through a separate game as the SSbq. Now if you meant just load up the current game save and see whats happening then i am in total agreement. Well just thought i would throw that out there!

    Is the first sophet gonna start the game save or is there one already gonna be up? Also the questions that were presented in the post above i would like to know also...Thanks a bunch

    yea game specifics like tweaked-scripts we need to download, army-unit sizes, etc. would be good to know, in case we missed it somewhere along the way

    I apologize.

    Unit size is large, unfortunately, as huge would limit our player base too dramatically IMO (I can barely run Huge myself, unless I turn graphics all the way down to near M:TW levels)

    I usually play with a time limit, but I could easily do away with that...

    Manage all settlements....no, this de-emphasizes the importance of governors IMO, and some governors will just have to travel to solve the problem.

    @KuKulza....

    Check our OP for the custom mod we're using....remember to back-up and I would place the files in individually, as it seemed to screw up my EB when I unzipped it directly into the R:TW folder.

    @Boru

    The first Shophet will start the save game....I am waiting to hear others nominate themselves. I know Spoofa wants to run, but he's been absent from the council hall up till now....3 nominees would be ideal though,and 4 would probably be the max we can have with the current player count.

    I would say tax limits are ultimately up to the Shophet, but the council is welcome to guide him in his actions.

    Remember, the Shophet is NOT REQUIRED to carry out any proposals deemed fit by the council, but he'll have to explain why these conditions weren't met, and if the Shophet 'failed' in the councils eyes, he may have a hard time being re-elected.

    I was going to include a rule which required the Shophet to follow council orders, but this isn't necessarily the best things for gameplay reasons. The Shophet must be able to adjust to changing in-game factors, and council meeting can't be called everytime he wants to raise taxes.

    @Boru: I should have been more clear. I certainly meant 'peek' at the game, rather than playing it out. Playing it would not be much fun at all, and contradictory to the notion, I agree.

    go to video options the click the advanced check box. You will the see unit size.

    Will sophet fight battle while AI urn AI attacks? how will we manage that considering we can not save game during AI turn?

    The game must be saved every turn....the player who is attacked, unfortunately, must send the turn before the AI attacked them, so the script can be activated.

    This person is trusted to not change anything being built or recruited, they simply click a city, start the script, end the turn, fight the battle, and at the beginning of the next turn, they save the game and send it back.

    This is the only way EB succession games will work due to the script in the background.

    BTW people, several fixes have been released, I will post a link shortly. I ask that everyone install these fixes, as they are officially supported, and we can trust them to work.

    It will overwrite Spoofa's trait file, but he said he's been experiencing problems with it anyway, so the official one may be better.

    For now, just dl the client ruler fix, as I still have to talk to Spoofa, and see what others we might want (some are labeled as optional, so I dunno).

    I hope everyone is enjoying this as much as I am.
    There is a flood rain assaulting my house at the moment, and in addition to this I am packing boxes and boxes of household items, for I am home by myself while my family works - preparing a moving of house.

    So in between admiration of the storm and packing away with Django Reinhardt playing in the background, it has been great entertainment giving attitude and oration to Hanno.

    Yet, I disclaim some of his comments on other players, but I cannot reflect my own views in the council thread, but those of my character!


    So far, I do no care if I ever play a Shophet, it will suffice to orate and convince the Senate of Lepki's potential to be our capital city!

    Bootsiuv, could you give a procedure in the first post of either thread, telling how to apply a savegame to your files so that you can play as a Shophet?
    Also advise every necessary mod, fix, and player options.

    In addition, decide on a difficulty level if this has not already been done.




    I have punishing words for the Senator of Alalia, but I will wait for another before I begin another speech.

    I am having a blast also. I to hope others are enjoying the fun!!! I hope by tonight everyone will have risen up to speak at least once on the matters of our great house! Oh and Akhenaton have u looked in to playing at all? I did mention that one spot to you and i hope you still want to play!

    Yes, you are quite right. I shall do that.

    For the record I haven't thought too much on difficulty although it will be at least H/M, but VH/M is also a very viable option.

    I'm leaning towards VH/M personally, considering how many minds we have to attempt to solve problems. It's bad enough when the AI has to face one human brain....now it must face 20+!!
