Sassem should be assigning him a senator tag today.

And yeah....good times in the council hall. I am quite enjoying Hanno's fiery oration.

    Great job guys.

    @Glenn

Yes, you are quite right. I shall do that.

For the record I haven't thought too much on difficulty although it will be at least H/M, but VH/M is also a very viable option.

I'm leaning towards VH/M personally, considering how many minds we have to attempt to solve problems. It's bad enough when the AI has to face one human brain....now it must face 20+!!

Hehe, of course this is all in character in the council thread, that makes it alot of fun. Having a blast as well giving life to a Senator that thinks Bocchoris is the greatest shithole in the world

Actually, from what I hear....the Baleares are quite beautiful...like the party spot of the Med, or so I've been told....probably lots of young hot mediterranean chicks there.

This is so much fun. I like this very very much
Message to Glen: This thing ain't personal, it's just an in-character discussion, don't think even for a moment that I have something against you. I thought that by picking a fight on a subject I believe I'm right on would spice things up, as well as make it easier for me to argue my case, as opposed to arguing for something I don't believe in.

Well, for some dumb ass reason, I can't get it to stay on top!!

I dont want to make you do all of that work though.

    @Spoofa

Sorry, bro, I didn't realize how hard up Ippone was until I opened the game....they at least need walls first, or we may lose it (as I had happen to me quite a few times in .8x).

Don't worry though, syracuse is still amongst my first priorities...

Sure they are beautiful, but they are not center of the universe, a place were things are happening, heck people have nothing to do, just swing their sling alot to produce the best slingers in the world.

And yeah, I must admit I knew about Ippone from prior games. The loose rebel stack always ends up assaulting Ippone with 6 or 7 numidian cavalry, the poeni militia don't stand a chance because of their light armor and Gisgo gets swamped. If you build walls they will starve you to death if you aren't quick enough to send reinforcements (yeah I dare you to try to sally against 6 or 7 units of numidian cavalry)

Best way is to send a force of good armored spearmen, besiege Kirta and let 'em come to you.

I heard somewhere that you swing your sling too much you'll go blind!

Soon I will make some more proposals to the Senate, and put my efforts in the different area of the empire.
But I think that everyone should review the current proposals often, and if you have anything that would need amending or removing, advise the Game Master so that we do not have a crowd of unwanted proposals.

I will return soon, to turn the ravens of Hadrumetum to stone and voice my support of a war in.. Numidia perhaps.

My dear Glenn, brilliant roleplaying there. What would be the fate of a Council of old men without a young voice of fire, eh? I'm having a great time bandying words with you. XD Mm, I've never played Qarthadast before. I didn't know the Numidians would've attacked, I thought they would stay in their own province, which was why I advised the defensive. Looks like Gisgo will be fighting soon if we ever get past this first turn's debate, eh?

It must be VH/m since it is the ballanced way to play, (my opinion here - respecting any other)

By the way, as senator of Lilibeo I must inform you all that my x-fire contact is leao (or leão magno), feel free to contact me

The council thread will close in 15 mins. After which, I will peruse the final proposals and elimate any which are redundant.

I will then create a battle reports/stories thread, and an election thread.

On a related note, I've often wondered in the past week if my running for Shophet was unfair to other players. Clearly the organizer of the game will have an advantage, as all players have had dealings with me. Ultimately, I decided I would run, but would impose my own limitation.

So, I say this: If you feel most comfortable with me at the helm for the first term, then fine, vote for me.

That being said, do not underestimate the merits of the other two candidates. Both Spoofa and Boru have been instrumental in helping 'behind-the-scenes' and this game wouldn't be what it is without them. They are also well versed in the world of R:TW, and I would feel fine being led by either one.

On a final note, if I do win this term, I will not run the next term. I also will not annex the game, as I've thought of doing. This is no longer 'my' game, but the communities, and I will not save it from a 'slow death'. I will leave that up to our 20+ players. I am confident that someone will step up next term.

I am also scheduled to have a child next Thursday morning, so the week following might not be the best time for me time-wise.

Don't worry though, newborns are surprisingly undemanding, and my wife is a good mother, so I shant be gone for long (if at all, as it doesn't take but 10 mins to post here once a day, and newborns sleep 20 hours a day ).

The point is, if I can find time between a 2 year old and work to play this game, I'm quite confident that something which hardly wakes up (and even then, hardly needs me, like I said, good mother) will interrupt my conquest too long.

Ok, the Council thread is now closed....I will post the finalized list of proposals tomorrow. For now, I'm off to bed, as I am tired from a rather long day.

Wow... I try to get back on track with my sleeping, rest, and energy for a few days, and all of a sudden, I've missed the first turn! Although, I guess I couldn't have done anything, as I am not yet OFFICIALLY a senator, seeing as Sassem hasn't created a sig for me just yet, as senator of Gader, but that's perfectly fine. This weekend, I'll be on pretty much only at night and in the morning. My father and I are driving up to Ohio to pick up a Gazebo for our hot tub that we bought on ebay. Sooo, I won't be extremely active this weekend, but I will be on the following weekends. And weeks, except for next, which is the last week of football. Hopefully, my JV team can finish 9-1. We had an awesome game last night to push our record up to 8-1. Sorry for rambling... :/

No...I haven't declared a time, as it's really a hard thing to do....I'm trying to incorporate as many people as possible.....I've decided to hold them 24 hours from now. I apologize to those who live on the other side of the world, but the fact is that all nominees for Shophet are American, and the Shophet should be present if possible.

Now, I must apologize for not putting this up earlier, but I will take votes for Shophet in here now.

    The candidates are

    Spoofa
    Boru
    Bootsiuv

Please just say one or the other in here, as I don't really see the need for a thread all its own at this point....if elections end up being a big deal, I may reconsider.
