I have a campaign right now where a separate "Aedui" faction is doing well for itself north of Epeiros. It was probably a rebellion that caused it, but it might end up being the only place the Aedui survive, which would be sort of cool.

You might want to call them Scordisci in that case.

This is my curent Aedui campain. Just look at the Yellow Nightmere.
You know what is the most frightening about it? The ptolies have like 4 full stacks in between Byzantion and Pella. They are in war with the Seleucid (what remains from them) the KH and the Saba. Are alied to Pahlava, Kahardastim, Hayasdan. They actually held Byzantion 2 times but it rebeled, both times, they even took Pella from the Macs. (they Shwaloved Pontos like it was nothing)
Which wrew finished off next turn by the KH in Demitrias. The Macedonians stood strong for quit a while, holding Theremon (sp?), and Pella - swithcing with the KH in Demitrias.
The Bactria is fighting the Seleucid, and Pahlava, for dominance. Although hey have more troops both their foes give quit a resistance - Pahlava even occationali besieges one of the nortern Bactrian starting cities.
(Pahlava became what she is now, actually with my help, I send a few spies and a diplomad ocer there to keep status quo between them and the Saka who were quit large - all additional step holdings of the Pahlava velonged to the Saka before. (but after I left the area, the pahlava turned the tide, and as I returned to observe they had the Saka homelad in posesion but it rebeled, somehow the war ended through diplomacy (not sure who with who))
Hay is doing his normal stuff, but suprisingly they actually united the Caucasus.
Epirus and KH fought the Macs for ages until the Ptolies did not decide they want a piece of Europe as well. Right now both of them are at ware with the Getai - lost Naisos to the Eps. And fight over Tylis with the KH, and over Olbia (rebelions) and the Cryme.
As for me. I took out the Arweni quit early, Gatheret most of the men and send them to Vesontio, and a smaler detachmen to Viennos- almoust undefended. Had a bit luck, they send most of their full stack army against mine, so I took it out in the field, and had no problem with the citie, next I send the army straigth to Georgovia, and again had luck, My general run out of movement on a river crrosing and the dreadfull fullstack from the Arveni capital with Gaesatae was massacred. In the same time, I alreaddy had Patvium and it was cleare that the would attac me from bonia so I attacked the would be attacking stact at my dors, first and continued to take on Rome, first tain Bonnia then Warding off some sieges, till units from gaus came, after wich I went all the way down to Rome, After SPQR was reduced to Capua and Arpi I made them my protectorad, and cept the south in a stalemale between Romans, Epirus (Taras, Rhegio and latter Messana) and Kahardastim (Syracus and Libelao). Had some fights with the Sweboz, which took me into Belgia liberating them from germanic opresion. It was an continuos swithcing between peace and war, with them -they alwys managed to get som full stact on me. The Lusotanns took numatia nad the settlements directli over and belov them, making advances to Epiron, So I took it first, and then wathcen as Kahardastim took Baikor and after my actions(spies) they went to war with each other. I had almout all of France ath that time modern belgium and and Nothern half off Italy, and entered Times of Soldiers. The Lussotans attacked shortly after, so I prepared 2 Armies, with Gaesatae, Slingers, Archers, Neios, Bataroas and Spearmen, and advanced through Spain, taking Numatia and then Velika Palantia(sp?) next advancing by taking Oxtraca. The second army took Baikor which rebeled from Khahardastim to the Lusotans, and there Finaly Cartago betrayed his ally. So I took the punic cities, and made Arse rebel( went to KH, then I bought it) - kicking them out of Iberia. Well they send all theyr might to Sicily, With 3 fulstacs, being shiped there making short work with the weakened Epirus. so I had to dash all my sunits out off Iberia to Italy to fight them. (2 stacs had both like 7 elite african pikemen ) I fought 3 nasty battles whit those stacks - I obliterated them.
now bessiging Arpi and Rhegio. In the first battle with a weaker army I made good use of the Roman army which stood right next to me when we were attacked, I let the romans engage the Kahardastim forces, and then swept in from the flank, using 2 Gaesatae units for rear attack egainst the elits and routing them.

So that is where I am, now. Warding off the Sweboz, The powero of Kartago broken, Sicily is mine. And then I will advance agains the Germanic annoyance, so I can prepare for the Apocalyptical clash with the Ptolies.

Well the romans will have to wait, Khardastim remobilized sooner then I expected, they brought a huge mercanery army to Rhegio And my besiging Army got severli reduced. But Arpi did fall, the romas are paing nice for now. althogh they hvae 2 full stacs standing there. I was able to remobilize, have a fort at the border between rome an Campania. with an Army preparing to take out the Romans. And I took Rhegio at les, have sally a siege from the Khardies, so I can advance against Messana

Those 2 rebel cities have each 2 full stacks - one general led, standing there, so for now its no do, for me.
As for the Sweboz they just lost their Capital Denemark and Scandinavia, I am planing to force a ceasefire with them in exchange for that one city on the island near the shores of germany (cant remember the name).
I am keepeng the germans there, as a buffer agains Epirus (Or Should I say Balkania), they took almous the whole Getic kingdom, save for Olbia and the provic next to it (but there is a full stack on the way) KH and Ptolies are batteling it out quit hard (Pella and especialy Byzantion is switching hands almoust each turn , as does the 2 east arabic provinces and 2 most south provinces in Egypt.
Pahlava lost 2 step provinces to the Sauromate via rebelion(gava - Mazsakata and Alanna, but warded of the Bactrians even taking Alexandria-Eschate
The Hai have some problems with rebelions in the north as well, and the ptolies every once in a while lose some city to the Seleucid, KH or Rebels and then take it back.

Things Are getting messy dam it.
As for the diplomacy: I am Alied to both KH and Epirus (Which are allied to one another)and Pahlava( ) and ofcourse to the Casse as well - who at last unified Britani.
and in war with Kahardastim and the Sweboz(not for long)
The Getail all almout finished, I actually am a bit scared to see what Epirus will do.
Pahlava Is right now in war with Baktria and the Sauromatea and Are alied With me and Margiane(former Seleucid) Which is defending its Independence from stack after stack of Bactrians valiantly .
The Ptolemais are Alied to Sweboz and Kahardastim (they obiviously dont like me)

Got a question After I get the Sweboz out of Rugoz, they should be renamed to some proper tribal name? like I seen some people do that thing (and I did it with Rome and the Seleucid after they lost their home) but I dont have much knowlage of the tribal names from this era in the Area, so could some one give me a sugestion, the same fo the Getai.

Holy crap, that´s a big Empire. Pyrrhos would be proud of you. Now just take Africa and India and you´ll have taken all the world, at least all areas of it that matters.

Post VC KH, 182 BC. Total Domination awaits.
I've gotten a trait I've never seen before: Heir Desired. Pity it came on a general and not a FM (an Italic one at that!). The lands of Mesopotamia and Persia are now on their third Helleneic overlords, namely me. I finished what I started with Carthage and the Saba have so far held on to it. I raped the Egyptian homelands, thus crippling the Ptolemaic dynasty. They spar with the Saba now, every now and then sending troops my way. The Final War of Hellenic Unification has begun between me and Big Blue. I have several stacks en route to Baktrian heartland provinces as we speak. I intend to cripple them permanently in one fell swoop before consolidating and sweeping up through the steppes.
The Sweboz have gotten another set of gold chevroned FMs, and the result, as you can see, has been predictable. While the front hasn't changed in a few years, the Arveni will likely be unable to launch a counter-offensive until the uber-FMs die off. Thankfully I managed to induce a revolt in a Sweboz conquest and now the Aedui are also at war with the Sweboz, though they remain rather innefectual to date. At least they divert some attention. Personally I'm semi-rooting for the Sweboz since having them control Celtic territories greatly reduces the quality of armies that can be mustered from there.
The Lusos are going nowhere slowly and the Sauromatae are chum. The Casse, if they ever decided to build some boats, could make Gaul a very interesting place *sidenote: how would I go about giving them some decent Celtic ship stacks and hoping for the best? Since this is BI.exe I know they will invade given the opportunity*.
The Hai could probably own all of the remaining Sauro territories if they wanted since they are wise enough to not attack me and not ballsy enough to strike at Baktria who is their Protector. As it is they are sitting with some 5 or so fullstacks doing whatever it is mountain men do to pass the time (the goats must be fearful).
I have made the decision that sending back my cool, experienced stacks with units from Tarentine Italy and Syracusan Sicily is rather unwieldy and I will replace losses with more local Hellenic and native troops. This also allows me to better counter the archer heavy armies I've been facing of the Baktrians, as I've had some battles which have nicely mauled my stacks, though they took far worse punishment. My Bosphoran stacks are so far the ones almost best suited to deal with a Baktrian army; I just need a little more cavalry support in them. But I have a ton more respect for the Bosphoran Heavy Archers. Easily a battle line worthy unit that has a great bow to boot. I've used them as phalanx flankers after they run out of arrows and they perform exceptionally well in that role.
Anyways, still kicking, still having fun. Enjoy!
