changing unit spacing

i want to bring the getai FM bodyguard cavalry more closely together so they arent as spread out. anyone know how to do this?
for those who dont understand what im talking about, i want the getai bodyguards to look like this:

and not this:

* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
