EB 1.0 stalls at game menu

I installed EB 1.0 over a completely clean RTW 1.5 (that was working, and still is after I installed EB). After EB gets to the game menu, it completely stalls. I can't move the cursor, there's no music, and I can't Alt-Tab out or even Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Is this an issue anyone else has encountered, and/or someone knows a solution to?

You have of course tried more than once? I've had a freeze happen in a battle in Kingdoms once, but otherwise not ever in a TW game since RTW came out.

I hadn't when I posted (it takes ages). But since then, I have uninstalled EB and RTW, deleted the RTW folder and cleaned up the registry. Then reinstalled RTW, patch -> 1.3 -> 1.5 and installed EB again. The problem persists

Alright... I did another reinstall from scratch.

And now it works!
However, I should note that right when I get to the menu, I get a brief graphics glitch on the screen, and I think there was a sound screech as well. Something fishy going on there...

Anyways, I'm off to kick some Makedon butt!
