Please help!

I have downloaded EB1.0 using the bit torrent v6.0 to my desktop.
The file has no extension so when I double click it asks me what program i want to open it with.

I am a newbie to torrents so would appreciate an idiots guide to what i need to do

But I understand you have already downloaded the installer? Double-click it and follow the installation instructions.

I did read the guide, but I must be missing something.
I go into the bittorrent, right click the file and select open.
I then get a msg saying "not enough storage is available to process the command"
The file that downloaded does not have a file extension and no EB logo on the shortcut. Does this mean its a corrupted file?

Not enough storage is a pretty clear error message, wouldn't you say? I suggest you clear up some disk space.

It seems the file download was not complete. Please pass on the onfo that if the file has no extension it is not complete. Even tho the torrent said it was.

Re the "not enough space msg", I had 81 GB left on my machine so that had nothing t do with it.
