Hmmm... you know, i was kind of wondering... why not just increase the unit upkeep...??? the files are edible. ANyone tried modding the unit file?

p.s. Yes, I agree that battles that consist of 800-1000 men is a lot more fun. Historically speaking, most medieval battles consisted of around 4000-5000 men on each sides. It was rarely bigger than that as it was expensive to field army bigger than that.

I would like to see something like this too.. increased upkeep and decreased province income, especially from trade.

or make raising an army more difficult - not just more expensive to raise/maintain, but to actually get men to march with you.

It's easy to make increased upkeep of troops and decreased province income.

But I don't know how to make raising an army more difficult.

Pass the duchie on the left hand side...
    Not born, not destroyed,
    Not stained, not pure,
    Without loss, without gain.
