we have started getting broadband through Orange because they are discontinuing their 56k dial up service and have replaced it with their broadband, but here is the confusing bit it goes through the phone line, as I am not home at the moment it was explained to me by my mum thus. “it is at a higher frequency than the human ear can hear” that’s fine but my problem is this I was under the impression that a phone line could not hold more than 56k which is why you have dial up and broadband separately, and to have broadband you need a separate line. So could someone explain to me how this works or confirm that this is complete and utter rubbish.
o and I must point that surprisingly it doesn’t work and am getting no help from the call centre.
